Springwood Guesthouse Gatwick Hotels With Parking

The service was friendly and exceptionally efficient: we left for the airport at exactly the time requested, early in the morning, and on return we were collected within a few minutes of leaving customs. Our car stayed in the hotel's car park, which is not secured but is small - not one of those vast compounds - and all cars are parked within 20 feet or so of the hotel.

The hotel has an Art Deco theme throughout, which gives it real character. The room was brand new and spotlessly clean with quality shower room, comfortable bed and good lighting. The bedroom door - which was quite narrow - was external but opened into its own, unoverlooked area to the rear of the property and we felt secure. It was on the ground floor with a lot of windows, so we kept the curtains pretty much closed, but it wasn't an issue.

The hotel is about 5 minutes drive from the airport but amazingly we don't remember hearing any aircraft noise at all. Apparently there are plenty of eateries nearby, and we could see the hotel does a very tasty-looking breakfast, but our timings didn't allow for that - a shame!

Service - both pre- and during stay - very good, friendly and helpful.
Rate was good considering it included parking.
Room comfortable.
Location good - very close to airport and within easy walk of good selection of restaurants.
Arrangements for taxis, keys etc very good and easy, well organised.
Owner very helpful, happy for you to bring in take-away, prepared to provide plates etc.

Springwood Guest House in Horley is well located for Gatwick, and it is this service which we most valued. You can leave your car for the duration of your holiday safe in the knowledge that it will be secure at the back of the Gust House while you are away-the cost for this service is a very reasonable £4 per day.
We had a 9.30 departure and Sue provides a complimentary shuttle to the airport for guests and knowing how confusing and busy departure terminals can be, particularly when you are not a frequent traveller from Gatwick (we live in the West Midlands and more frequently travel from Birmingham International).
It would have cost more to leave our car with an established airport car park, and we would have had to leave home around 5.00 am with an uncertainty about locating the terminus once in Gatwick. This way we woke refreshed after an evening meal in Horley ( there are several options of good restaurants/pubs Sue can suggest the best choices) had a quick grab and go breakfast and were calmly dropped at the South Terminal in good time for our check-in, stress-free.
The room was very clean with an Art Deco style theme (found throughout the Guest House)-clean crisp bed linen, tea /coffee provided and a small TV-all perfectly adequate for our purpose.
Sue and Len are friendly and helpful and will willingly answer any questions you may have.
On our return our flight was a midnight plus arrival-the shuttle was not available, but prior to our departure, Sue had provided detailed instructions for our return in the early hours with a recommended taxi (Carline 24 hours) who were there to collect us 3-5 minutes after we'd phoned.
Overall, if you want to travel from Gatwick, relaxed and calm, I'd recommend this as a option as it ticks all the boxes.

I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Springwood Guest House. I was delighted with my room with it's very large and comfortable bed, and the art deco touches were an added bonus. The hosts were very attentive and able to anticipate my every need. The large bay window let in lots of light if required, but heavy drape curtains allowed me to enjoy a sleep in. The bathroom was smallish but in line with what you would expect in a guest house and perfectly clean and adequate. The room itself was very spacious. I would recommend this b & b to anyone looking to stay in the area.

The room was adequate for a twin-bed. The beds were quite comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was tiny to manoeuvre around in, and the ceiling appeared to have some mildew on it. The shower was also a bit small to manoeuvre around in, but the water was plenty hot, which is what matters! The only real irritation was that I couldn't get the television to work. The remote control appeared to be working, but the television flatly refused to switch on, despite trying everything I could think of.

On the plus side, we slept well, the room was unaffected by any air traffic noise from Gatwick, and the breakfast was excellent! We were driven to Gatwick at the time we requested, and collected and driven back to our car on our return to Gatwick. All in all, a pleasant stay, and will certainly use the service again.

Stay here twice a year and feel like one of the family.
Sue and Lee are always very welcoming and , as a wheelchair user, they always allocate a ground floor room for us.
The bedrooms and public rooms are very clean and well-maintained and the choices at breakfast are excellent.
Rates are very reasonable,considering the closeness to Gatwick Airport. Long-stay parking service is excellent value.
I would recommend Springwood Guest House whether you are flying out from Gatwick, or want an extended break, it fits the bill.

Forget your Airport hotels , this is a little gem fully worthy of the numerous positive reviews on this site. Close to restaurants etc I would recommend anyone requiring accomm and parking at Gatwick to use this Hotel . In short it's a cracker!!

This about the 6th time that we've stayed at Springwood.The rooms are spotlessly clean and very nicely furnished.Transfer by Sue to and from the airport really makes life easy.Breakfast is lovely.We regard our stay here as an extra nights holiday.

Will certainly recommend this hotel to freinds and will be using again the next time we fly from Gatwick.

We haven't actually stayed overnight at Sue and Lee's guest house but have parked our car there several times over the years. A lift to the airport and back ( only about a mile or two away) is included unless it's late in the evening or very early in the morning......they do need some rest! Sue and Lee are a lovely couple and always very pleasant and helpful, particularly this last time we parked at Springwood guest house. We arrived there only to realise that we should have been at Heathrow airport this time!! Straight away Sue found the time of the next National Express transfer bus to Heathrow, which was in the next 15 minutes so she quickly whisked us off to the bus stop. We made it in time only to realise that I'd mislaid my phone in our rush! Lee found it for me on the floor of our car and placed it safely in the glove compartment which he locked. Sue even arranged for a car to be on standby to bring us back from Heathrow on our return. We shall certainly continue to leave our car at Springwood guest house.
