We have been keeping warm here on at Springwood on our second day of heavy snow.

Disappointed Gatwick passengers are ringing all the time to try to find hotel rooms. We were pleased to accommodate two families from Norway who had been trying to fly from Edinburgh on Monday and have been trying to get home via Gatwick ever since.

Mr & Mrs H were happy to find us early this morning after sleeping in their car last night! We warmed them up with lots of hot coffee while our staunch housekeeping staff got a room ready for them to occupy straight away.

Our parked cars have at least a foot of snow on them, so plenty of work for Lee sweeping off the snow when their owners come to collect.

I’ve had an e mail from ‘Mr Happy’, who has been delayed in Barbados since Tuesday. He says he might get back to Gatwick on Sunday, he’s not too fussed!
